Mr. Romaker has a B.A. in Spanish Education from Bowling Green State University, an M.A. in Spanish and Linguistics from Eastern Michigan University and a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. Mr. Romaker was a bilingual / ESL teacher at Waukegan East High School from 1981 to 1988, where he was instrumental in obtaining funding for after school and summer programs for Latino students while teaching ESL and Spanish content classes to limited English speaking high school students.


In 1992 Mr. Romaker obtained his law degree from John Marshall Law School and in 1997 he formed his own law firm. As part of his firm's philosophy, Mr. Romaker has mentored several Latino employees and has strongly supported them in the to obtain pursuit of their college degrees. Mr. Romaker has represented and counseled thousands of Latino clients with workers compensation claims and personal injury cases.


Mr. Romaker is a Board member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, is the co-creator of Las Semillas del Futuro and assists in other efforts to raise scholarship funds for Latino law students in local law schools. Mr. Romaker is a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee for the PRBA and supports increased Latino representation in the Judiciary.
