Before graduating from University of Illinois, College of Law, with honors, Ms. Martinez made the Dean’s List, earned an Honors Distinction in Legal Research and Writing, and was invited to join the Elder Law Journal after participating in a rigorous writing competition. After graduating, Ms. Martinez joined the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and gained valuable experience in litigation and settlement negotiation. She subsequently acquired additional litigation experience defending homeowners who had been victims of predatory lending against foreclosure and established her own law practice with offices in Chicago and Schaumburg, Illinois. She has been a member of the PRBA since law school and is a past recipient of the PRBA scholarship. Ms. Martinez has wide-ranging, relevant experience, and she shares PRBA’s commitment to excellence, service and integrity.
